Yes I have access to Ancestry but have never found him there as having fought in the Indian wars. The problem is there are dozens of William Stewarts. General Wolfe was noted for his service in the French and Indian Wars, which preceded the Revolution. He died in 1770. Is it possible that you have an incorrect date of birth for your ancestor? Otherwise, he may have served under some other general. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Conroy" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 21, 2008 11:33 AM Subject: Re: [KYWBTSVETS] Military research at the National Archives > Yes I have access to Ancestry but have never found him there as having > fought in the Indian wars.
