Jim Yes something's that I can tell you My grandfather Henry Lewis Mcglothlin joined 37th Va inf in 1861 that winter he deserted I don't blame him it was cold sleeping on ground and no fighting going on nothing to eat things were not to well organized. He then joined 10th ky cav under different name Louis Mcglothen, I learned all of this by reading his pension records. So look for Lacy joining under middle name changing spelling of last name a little, some thing. If you could get his pension record you would have all answers.
