R. S. Marcum, constable, brought here yesterday, John J. SMITH and his son Jacob SMITH, who shot and killed Diance BLEVINS on Christmas day, the SMITHS also shot and wounded James and Charles BLEVINS at the same time. The SMITHS have been under guard since their arrest, awaiting trial. James MILLER, who was with the SMITHS at the time of the killing of BLEVINS, had a preliminary trial last week and is now in jail at this place.
