I wish to prove or disprove that Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" Brown married Thomas G. Neal (or married someone else). Please contact me if you have any information to share. Lizzie was my husband's great aunt and we wish to make contact with her descendants. Lizzie Brown was born about Dec. 1872 in Wayne Co., KY to Jane Bertram & Elijah Brown. We know she lived to adulthood, married and had children, but no one in the family seems to remember the name of her husband. It looks like she may have married Thomas G. Neal based on census records, but I need proof one way or the other. The census records follow: 1880 Wayne Co., Kentucky Census (108th Enumeration District.): #149-151; BROWN, Elijah, 35, husband, farmer, TN, TN, TN; Jane, 33, wife, KY, KY, KY; Feriby E., 10, daughter; Nancy E., 8, dau; George W., 6, son; General M, 4, son, William F., 2, son. (Next door to Jane's parents.) I found a Lizzie NEAL on the 1900 Whitley Co., KY Census that I believe was Lizzie BROWN although the year of birth and place of birth don't entirely agree with what we know. The key factor is there is a niece in the household by the name of Della JONES, who may have been the daughter of Lizzie's sister, Ellen (BROWN) JONES (aka Mrs. Joe S. (Also unproved!) Note: There was a Thomas NEAL and wife, Elizabeth, about the right ages to have been this couple on the 1920 Oldham Co., Kentucky Census but they do not appear to be the same ones. For one thing they are shown with a 23 year old son named William and that does not match the information we have on Thomas G. NEAL and wife, Lizzie. Thanks for your time and consideration!
