James R. Jones, 82 CYCLONE -- James Robert "Bob" Jones, 82, formerly of Cyclone, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Center in Mulberry. He was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Monticello, Ky., to the late James Webster and Bonnie Clapp Jones. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Jones worked as a lumberjack in Kentucky before moving to Frankfort in 1968. He retired from Cyclone Grain Co. He enjoyed cutting trees and splitting lumber. His wife, Martha Hollars Jones, preceded him in death in 1976. Surviving are a son, Robert Jones (wife: Cynthia) of Michigantown; a brother, Thomas Jones of Frankfort; and two sisters, Christina Hollars of Whitley City, Ky., and Phyllis Jones of Indianapolis.
