I am looking for info on ancestors and siblings for Marion Shelton who is listed in the 1880 census (Wayne County) as a 23 yr. old farmer, place of birth unknown, and his wife, Martha. Marion married Martha Jane Mathew, who was born in Monticello (Wayne County). They had children who include Myrtle (my g.grandmother), Willie, and Mattie (may be more). Marion, Martha, their kids, and Dolly Mikel (maybe others) migrated to St. Louis, Mo., about 1896 in a covered wagon, according to Myrtle as told me to when I was a child. Dolly Mikel (nee Mathew) was Martha Jane's sister. Additional info that I have is that Martha Jane Matthew's & Dolly Mike's parents were James Mathew & Mollie (or Millie?) Mathew (nee Upchurch). Both James Mathew & Mollie (or Millie) Upchurch were born in Monticello. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
