Very sad news. Danny Kay Dishman of Sunnybrook, age 59, of Wayne Co., KY, was killed in an automobile crash yesterday morning in the Gap Creek community. Dan corresponded widely with others on his Dishman, Bertram, and DeRossett families. His body is at the Marvin Hicks Funeral Home in Wayne County. Arrangements are incomplete as of this morning. It is expected that burial will take place in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery at Sunnybrook where Dan's family is buried and he has a tombstone already erected. Dan was born 29 Jul 1950 at Sunnybrook. His mother was Eula May Dishman, daughter of Ova Alice (Bertram) and Samuel Cordell Dishman. Dan remained in the home to take care of his mother and his aunt, Barbara. After their deaths in recent years he went to work for the Dishman Personal Care Home in Monticello. Always a nurturing person, Dan kept check on several older people and widows in Sunnybrook. Dan was very proud of his family and community. He will be missed by many.
