    3. Do you love a puzzle? Here is a good one . . . I'm currently working on the family of Daniel Matthews (Mathews, Mathis) and Nancy ________, his wife. They were on the 1840 and 1850 Wayne Co., KY Census, and on the 1860 Clinton Co., Kentucky Census. Some of their children were in various households in Clinton Co., KY in 1870. They were frequently living near the Dicken family, so there could be a familial connection between the Matthews and Dicken families. My main interest is because I believe their daughter, Angeline Matthews, is the one who married William Malone. A user submitted World Family Tree on Ancestry.com shows her as Angeline Brown, daughter of Eli and Sarah Brown. I believe this is incorrect. I am working on proof. If anyone is interested in this family or has additional information I would love to hear from you. I have lost touch with Michelle Bowles who was also working on this about 5 years ago. Also, puzzle #2 . . . the Clinton Co., KY cemetery book by Gary Norris lists Mary W. Malone Hoover and her husband, James M. Hoover, in the Shelton Cemetery in Clinton Co., Kentucky. The death dates listed are 24 Jan 1941 for Mary and 12 Apr 1943 for James. I have not been able to locate either one on the Social Security Death Index or the Kentucky Death Index. They may have died in another state but I don't have any clues. Mary W. Malone was the grandaughter of Daniel and Nancy ____ Matthews, and the daughter of the one I believe was Angeline Matthews. Again, I will welcome hearing from anyone with an interest or additional information on this family. Descendants of Daniel Matthews Generation No. 1 1.
