Lafayette Journal & Courier ATTICA -- Dolly Dixon Burk, 82, of Attica, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at The Waters of Williamsport Health Care. Born in Sterns, Ky., on Nov. 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George and Dora Gregory Dixon. She married William Winchester in 1941; they later divorced. She married Thomas Burk in 1968, and he died in 1987. Mrs. Burk was a service worker at Hawkins Graduate House at Purdue University from 1974 until she retired in 1996. She was a member of the Eagles in Lafayette and enjoyed gambling, fishing and crocheting. Surviving are two sons, David Winchester and Rick Winchester, both of Attica; and three daughters, Mary "Liz" Bradbury (husband: Kenny) and Judy Martin (husband: Bill), both of Attica, and Janice Meece (husband: Doug) of Oxford. Visitation one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Chaplain Don Williams officiating. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She enjoyed being with her family.
