Hi Carolyn, Well, I have had a snag since I first posted this. I have been contacted by another Johnson researcher (a descendant of James Johnson) and he tells me that Washington Johnson, who married Nancy Thompson is NOT the son of James Johnson and wife, Rebecca. What are your thoughts about this? Washington Johnson is not my ancestor, I just connect to him (or thought I did) through my Johnson lineage. I would be very interested in your opinion. I seem to be digging a bigger hole for my genealogical research!! Thanks, and I look forward from hearing from you. I don't know where he is buried but I have a small tie in to this family. Their son, Washington Johnson married Nancy Thompson. She was the sister of my Richard Dickerson Thompson, Sr. CarolynCarolyn S.
