Mrs. Wilma Reagan Pinckley, age 101, passed away Thursday, January 21. I will share more information when it is available. Mrs. Pinckley was a household word to genealogists and history buffs everywhere. Known affectionately as "Miss Wilma", she excited people with her enthusiasm for knowing their family tree, and was a prolific writer on a wide variety of subjects, not just genealogy and history. Her way of distinguishing people who had the same names was to put the year of their birth in front of their given name, as in 1785 George, 1833 John, etc. Wilma Pinckley will be missed in Fentress County. Willie R. Beaty, President Fentress County Historical Society "Collecting and Preserving the Heritage and History of Fentress County since 1968."
