Harlan Ogle emailed me recently to report they are working on a new edition of the picture book titled THE BERTRAM BOOK, which was originally compiled and published about 50 years ago by the late Luther York and Myrtle Dalton. The new edition will have all the old pictures but will also have obituaries, an index, and other enhancements. It will be sold through the William Crenshaw Kennedy, Jr. Memorial Museum in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY. The proceeds will benefit the museum and its genealogy library. This is really good news for all the Bertram researchers and descendants! If you haven't yet been to the museum you're in for a real treat! It's a great place to do genealogy research also. The public library in Monticello has a very good genealogy department too. I recommend planning to visit both if you can get to Monticello for research. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Anna Bertram
Anna, I go there everytime I visit my sister in Monticello. I love the history that I find there, and how nice the people who run the museum are. They are so helpful to all who come there to visit them. They did receive an award for that museum I believe. Lea
