Patti, We really do need to explore this. I'm currently in contact with a descendant of one Levi Clark whose son William T. Clark married Sally Rushton in Hendricks Co IN in 1840. DNA testing has determined that Levi Clark and my Thomas Clark Sr share a common ancestor, probably before their respective families arrived in America. Regarding Wayne Co IN, my husband grew up in neighboring Henry Co IN, but his entire family is from Wayne Co KY. I am very familiar with the mass migration of Randolph Co families to that part of Indiana, as well as to Wayne Co KY. The curious part is that Mike has a cousin, a daughter of his aunt (a Clark), who married a Thornsberry-- no doubt also a corruption of the same Thornborough name. The plantation of old Samuel Clark in Randolph Co NC shared a property line with the Thornborough plantation, and it is thought that old Samuel may have had a daughter who married a Thornborough. I would very much like a copy of the William Barnett/Mary Bell marriage record. Can you scan and e-mail it to me?
