Hello Anna, Thanks so much for this information. I do not believe that you sent this before, but thank you for sending it now. I cannot get past James M. Maynard, ggrandfather, or his father which might have been Silas Maynard, then I am totally lost. So many Maynards, and I do believe that they moved back and forth from Fentress Co., TN, to KY, back again, and so forth. I did pull something from the internet that says the first Maynard settlers in the Appalachia mountains were James Maynard b. 1750, Christopher Maynard b. 1750 or bef., and William Maynard born 1755/56, in Wilkes, North Carolina. Jacob Maynard's, Sr. was supposedly the father of these men, he lived and died in Wilkes, North Carolina. I found a Maynard family that came out of Massachusetts, to no avail. Could not connect James M., nor (Silas?) S. Maynard to these families, so I deleted the entire group. What a waste, but I am going to keep trying. I am better Anna, thank you for asking. Sincerely, Lea > Hi Lea! > > I've been chasing an Anderson Maynard or Mainard (etc.) for a long time. I > may have already sent this information to you, but just in case.
