Roysdon, 89 MUNCIE - Dalbys K. Roysdon, 89, died Sunday, June 10, after a long illness. Mr. Roysdon was a native of Fentress County, TN. He moved to Muncie and worked at Warner Gear (now Borg Warner Automotive) for 30 years before retiring. During part of the time he was working, he and his wife, Ovella, also farmed and operated pay fishing ponds on Walnut Street south of Muncie. Mr. Roysdon enjoyed farming and running fish ponds. In later years he traveled to Arizona, California and his native Tennessee. He always said he wanted to be retired as long as he worked at Warner Gear - 30 years - and he reached that goal. He liked keeping busy even after retirement, however, and for many years was a dedicated reader of Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey. In recent years, Mr. and Mrs. Roysdon lived at Liberty Village. Survivors include two sons, Robert Roysdon, Arizona, and Keith Roysdon, Muncie. He had numerous in-laws and other family members in Muncie and Tennessee. Ovella Roysdon died in July 2005. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. Ind. 3, Muncie. Friends may call from noon until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dalbys K. Roysdon to the Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross.
