Brenda, I didn't really answer your question, did I. If you go to www.familysearch.org, the 1880 census is now online and fully searchable. For example, you can specify last name <Dishman> in Kentucky, Wayne, Slick Ford, and it will bring up every Dishman in the Slickford District without having to know the numbers. You can also find out who their neighbors were by going to the previous and next household.
