Linda Schurman, 53 September 18, 2007 FOWLER -- Linda Anderson Vale Schurman, 53, of Lafayette, formerly of Fowler, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Oct. 1, 1953, in Fowler, she was the daughter of the late Oscar "Pete" and Pearlie Bell Anderson. She attended Benton Central High School and lived most of her life in Fowler and Lafayette. She also had a home in Florida. She married Bill Schurman on April 3, 2004, in Florida, and he survives. For the past 17 years, she was the owner and operater of L.A. Fireworks, owning three stores. She enjoyed singing and traveling. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Ernie Anderson (companion: Jackie), Doris Goetz (companion: Bill) and Oscar Anderson, (wife: Linda), all of Fowler, and Joyce Campbell (husband: Carl) of Earl Park; Paula Kerns, who had lived in her home; and three stepsons, Bill Jr. Schurman and Bart Schurman, both of Lafayette, and Brent Schurman of Indianapolis. Friends may callfrom 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler, with funeral there at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, the Rev. Judy Becker officiating. Interment Fowler Cemetery. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother, Donnie and a niece, Becky. Linda passed away with her family by her side. O'Brien, 80 September 18, 2007 FRANKFORT -- Dorothy L. O'Brien, 80, of 656 Delphi Ave., died at 3:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill for the past six weeks. Born Nov. 15, 1926, in Russellville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Jane Young Fugate. She was a 1944 graduate of Auburn High School in Kentucky and moved from Kentucky to Frankfort in 1950. She married Michael C. O'Brien on June 15, 1945. He died Jan. 24, 1998. Mrs. O'Brien was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church, former secretary of the Faith Baptist Church and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was an avid Indiana Pacers and Colts fan. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy L. Kanatzer (husband: Jack), and three sons, Michael W. O'Brien (wife: Donna J.), John R. O'Brien (wife: Susan) and Jeffery C. O'Brien (wife: Terri L.), all of Frankfort; two brothers and two sisters. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Services there at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park. Surviving are 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
