This article appeared in Dallas Morning News, Dallas, Texas, either Sunday or Monday, Dec 2003 Perhaps someone is searching this family. I am not related to this line as far as I know, but feel it may be an important clue for someone searching his line. "Marsh Lane takes name from hunter. This pioneer - a noted hunter - has his name on a middle school and a northwest Dallas lane. He moved from Kentucky to Texas with his family when he was 13 years old. Known as the hunter of the family, lore has it that he killed the last wild buffalo east of the Trinity River. When he came of age, he acquired 320 acres, which he later used for farming and raising cattle. He served in the Confederate Army in Arkansas and what became Oklahoma. He prospered after the war and had about 700 acres in 1892. The Dallas middle school and the thoroughfare are named for Thomas C. Marsh." Submitted by Joyce Holt Taylor
