Verna A. Foster TEMPLETON -- Verna A. Foster, 87, a former Templeton resident, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, in Green Hill Manor, 501 N. Lincoln Ave., where she had been a resident four years. Born Oct. 22, 1916, in Wayne County, Ky., she attended Wayne County schools. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and quilting. She married the Rev. Spencer W. Foster on Aug. 24, 1938, in Wayne County. He died Dec. 27, 1997. Mrs. Foster was a member of Talbot Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Helen Jones (husband: Bill) of Lafayette; and two brothers, Edward Denney (wife: Lois) and Hubert Denney (wife: Mary Ann), both of Monticello, Ky. Visitation 5-8 p.m. today, April 20, 2004, at Hahn Funeral Home, Oxford, with service there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, the Rev. Henry Bell Jr. officiating. Interment Boswell Cemetery. Surviving are 2 grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 stepgreat-grandchildren, 1 stepgreat-great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
