Hi all! I'm trying to help someone else with this VICKERY family that was on the 1880 Wayne Co., KY Census. Does anyone know anything of this family or any of its members? 1880 Wayne Co., KY Census; Monticello; June 7th; Household #127: VICKERY, Elizabeth, 43, widowed, farm, TN TN TN Fanny A., 16, daughter, house keeper, KY TN TN Mary C., 14, dau., house keeper, KY TN TN Martha E., 10, dau., KY TN TN Jennetta, 8, dau., KY TN TN Florence I., 5, dau., KY TN TN *Elizabeth, 1, dau., KY TN TN I believe the one year old Elizabeth could be Rebecca Elizabeth, and she may have named a daughter Etta Elizabeth for her sister, Jenetta, and her mother, Elizabeth. The 1 year old Elizabeth, born about 1879, in this census would have been about 15 in 1894 when Rebecca Elizabeth married a Joe Byrd BROWN, possibly in Fentress Co., TN.. That was not considered too early to marry in the 1800s. We already know the people of Wayne Co., KY and Fentress Co., TN moved back and forth over the state line.
