Brenda and All: First - My interest in Avarilla WOOD is because she was the sister of the Belfield WOOD who married Nancy KIDWELL and produced Sarah WOOD, March 20, 1820. This Sarah WOOD married a William BROWN from Wayne Co., KY whom I believe was a brother of my husband's great-great-grandfather, Michael BROWN. Secondly - I am also interested in the KIDWELL name even though I have not really begun to research it much yet. Thirdly - Avarilla WOOD and her husband, Robert D. DAVIS produced a daughter named Avarilla DAVIS, born May 5, 1800 in Morgan Co., TN.. This Avarilla DAVIS married John CRABTREE in March 1820 in Morgan Co., TN. They migrated to Wayne Co., KY and before 1850 to Putnam Co., MO with many other Wayne Co., KY families. By studying these transplanted Wayne Co., KY families I hope to solve several genealogy questions and puzzles I have had. If I am correct, your Belfield WOOD, Jr., was a sister to Sarah (WOOD) BROWN (later JONES), and a nephew to the Avarilla WOOD who was born in the 1700s. Clear as mud? What interests me is to see if there is a connection of the Avarilla Wood (b. abt. 1801) to Belfield Wood, Jr. (b. abt. 1815 in KY) who married Sarah Brummitt (b. abt. 1821) in KY. Belfield, Jr. and Sarah also had a daughter named Avarilla who was born abt. 1837. These are such similar names I was wondering if Belfield Wood, Jr. had a family connection to the Avarailla Wood who married Robert Davis. I have that Belfield Wood, Jr. was supposed to be the son of Belfield Wood, Sr. and Nancy Kidwell. Belfield Wood, Sr (b. abt. 1752) was married previously before he married Nancy Kidwell, and many of the Fentress County, TN Wood families descend from him. Brenda
