The Muncie Starpress 8/19/2003 MUNCIE - Flora Ethel Marcum Gregory, 78, Muncie, died Sunday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital. Born in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of Joe and Una Marcum, she attended Wayne County schools. Ethel was a full-time wife, mother and homemaker who always had her family in for dinner after church on Sunday. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Muncie. Surviving are five sons, Lewis Bell (wife: Bonnie), Galesburg, Ill., Kenny Gregory (wife: Tammy), Albany, Roger Gregory (wife: Bert), Muncie, Glenn Gregory, Muncie, Tommy Gregory (wife: Jacky), Albany, Ky.; and six daughters, Peggy Schweighardt (husband: Russell), Lawrenceburg, Ky., Diane Essex (companion: Kenny Meadows), Muncie, Connie Adkins, Muncie, Alice Friday (husband: Jerry), Adair, Ill., Glenna Gregory, Muncie, and Bonnie Powell, Muncie; stepchildren, Cecil Gregory (wife: Barb), Muncie, and Joyce Burk (husband: Selix), Muncie; a brother, Arlie Marcum, Tennessee; and a sister, Inez Dobbs, Monticello, Ky.; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Gregory; her parents; a brother; and two sisters; and a stepdaughter, Imogene. Funeral services in Muncie will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Parson Mortuary, with Pastor Jerry Holton officiating. Calling hours in Muncie will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Gregory will also have calling hours from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in Monticello, Ky. Burial will follow in the Dobbs Cemetery at Coopersville, Ky.
