    1. Re: [KYWAYNE] Christina Guffey

    3. Sandi, I'm noticing that Christina & William Massengale married in the home of E. B. Guffey--(Ephraim B?), and also the initials C. F. Guffey are listed. Constant F. Guffey b. 1805 & Elizabeth Smith had a son E. B. b. 1831--I'm guessing Ephraim B. Constant also had a son Lorenzo D. There are two Lorenzos in my db who could be connected. Loren was the name of the 17 year old who gave a deposition on behalf of Christina, and I'm thinking he might be her younger brother. The family lived in the Powersburg area, but the 1910 census page they would be on is virtually unreadable--might be a reason we can't find Christina aka "Tena." Oh, one other note, Constant F. b. 1805 had a daughter "Crissy M." b. 1845 in Wayne Co. I'm thinking it's a good bet that Christina may be E. B.'s daughter. 3. Hello Fay and list, Grandmother Myrtie Maynard married Joseph Freeman. He was born in Fentress, TN, in 1880, she was born in Russell Co., KY, in 1897, her father James M. Maynard was born in Fentress, TN, in 1864, died in TN, in 1931. The last census I could find of S. Maynard was in 1870 in Fentress Co. TN, who was James' father, as far as I can tell. Will post this on the list again. Guess I did not make myself clear. Sorry, not thinking to clearly, had a small surgery on Tuesday.S.Maynard was born in 1843 and Adeline in 1844. However, my confusion is that I cannot find a father or mother for S. Maynard and/or Adeline anywhere. I wanted to find out because I am going to see my brother in Utah in Sept and wanted to surprise him with all of the Trees. Thanks again, Lea > Lea, > > Do you have any dates for James M. Maynard? 3. Lea, As I suggested to the last poster.... if you will provide more info on the family you are trying to trace we might be able to assist you with your search. Please include things you already have such as census years, etc so we don't give you things you already know. 1. Re: [KYWAYNE] Andrew & Elizabeth Young
    2. Hello Jim, I am descended from Andrew and Edith "Edy" Smith YOUNG from Wayne and Clinton Co., Ky. areas. Andrew died in 1847 and not sure of his birth date, Edith was born 1810 Rowan Co., NC and died 1894 in Clinton Co., KY. After Andrew died at an early age, Edith married John Riggs. Hester Jane Young Smith was my g-grandmother, who married Wm. Jennings Madison Smith around 1850 in Clinton Co., KY. I have an old letter from a cousin, Marian Denny from CA, and there is a list of YOUNG names including Andrew Young born June 17, 1823 KY and died Oct. 19, 1905 KY, married Elizabeth (Hurt) Tuggle, (1832-1907 KY) Andrew and Elizabeth married Feb. 2, 1853. It appears Andrew's parents were Israel and Easter Anderson Young. Israel's parents were John and Susannah Bowdine Young. Does any of this sound familiar? Where were your Smiths from?
