Gladys, Hi! We may have corresponded earlier. Is the Patsey Young on the 1830 Fentress Co., TN Census yours? There were only three Youngs who were heads of households there in 1830 and a Patsey Young was one. For some reason, Ancestry.com does not list Parker Young at all, and lists Burdine Young as Bseline Young. (I have submitted a correction on Burdine.) 1830 Fentress Co TN > YOUNG BURDINE > 02011-30001 > > YOUNG PARKER > 1111001-012101 > > YOUNG PATSEY > 0-20001 If this was your Martha "Patsy" Young it very possible she married in Fentress Co., TN. All the marriages prior to 1905 have been destroyed. That may be why you cannot find a record of her marriages. When Patsy lived in Fentress County it bordered Wayne and Clinton Counties in KY. Anna Bertram ----- Original Message ----- From: GladysNRon@aol.com Dale, I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you in any way related to Martha Patsy Young who was married to a man named William Decker, then to a Mr. Dugger? If so I would love to know what information you have on her. She was my great grandmother. To our knowledge she was married to Mr. Dugger some time around 1843. Does anyone have information on the Anderson Rice who married Patience Bates in Wayne County, KY? Anderson was born, according to his tombstone, in 1812 and died in the 1870's. Was he a son of Rev. I have lost my password to the Wayne county, KY "Myfamily" site, and hope someone here is a subscriber who can assist me. The Rev. William Rice, who was the 2nd pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Parmleyvilel, was the first cousin to my 4th great-grandfather, William B. Rice of White County, TN. If I recall, William was married twice, but I do not recall the names of his wives. I know one was a Baker. Was she by chance a sister to Thomas Joules Rice's second wife? Also, who were the children of William Rice? The only ones I can recall off hand are Ebenezer B. Rice and Preston Rice. I'm sure he had other children. My computer messed up on me and I've lost a great deal of information. One of his descendants was a Christopher Columbus Rice, born in the 1870's or 1880's. I have a photo of him and his wife, Don't rercall her name either. But he was almost a carbon copy to our cousin here in Tennessee, Logan Mansfield Rice. One of Christopher's descendants is an exact DNA match to our cousins here who took the Rice DNA test. We also have at least two DNA matches from Thomas Joules Rice's descendants. One from Mitchell Hansford Rice, and the other from Andrew Rassell Rice - both of Randolph County, Missouri. I know their sister Elizabeth Rice married Joshua Phipps, and another sister Sally Rice married 1. George Foster, 2 - Elijah Terry. Did Sally have children by George Foster? I have only one child of Sally's by Elijah Terry - Henderson Terry. I am also a descendant of Abraham "Layfevers" (LaFever) (c.1750 - 1803) of Wayne/Pulaski Counties Kentucky... I have found an better source for death certs. FIVE of them for $1.25. you can order ANY county death cert from Akron-Summit Library for $1 research and 5 cents for copy. you need to look in the Ohio history index for the number of the cert then send a request to Akron-summit library spec collections email address they will send the cert (up to five at time) to you with a bill for the certs. It does take a few weeks to get them but at this costs it's worth it. www.akronlibrary.org then go to special collections. there is also a link to the Ohio death index from the site. www.Familysearch.org. is also in the process of putting Ohio death certs on line and those will be free but right now they are in the middle of putting the data base on the site. It will be wonderful when they get it done. brenda Kidd shufeldt
