Could someone to has access to the Wayne county Marriage book or access to anything in Wayne county, lookup a marriage for David or Davey SHORES and an Anne or Annie or Anna possibly MATHIS or MATTHEWS, I'm unsure of Annie's last name--marriage date around 1855. The 1870 Census list David and Anna SHORES as both being 34 years old at the time. The 1880 Census(Sinking) lists David as being 45 and Anne as 44. This puts their birth year, 1835 or 36 It lists both as born in Kentucky. The oldest child was 15 in 1870--leaving them being married about 1855. David SHORES moved to Arkansas between 1880 and 1884/ his sons were being married in Crawford county Arkansas in 1884. Could someone look up a death date for Anne/Annie/Anna SHORES between years of 1880-1884? Thank you!!! Sandra Shores Harlow
THANK YOU, everyone, for all your responses to my request. I have found the website for the Wayne County Outlook. Anna's obituary may be posted next week there, but it also may be posted in the Albany paper, instead. If the WCOutlook does not carry it next week, I will still be looking for a copy then... Thanks, again! Fay Clark ________________________________________________________________ Sent Via Ethixs Online Mail-Clean Internet Access www.ethixs.com
Could someone check to see if there is an obituary for Anna Clark in the Wayne County Outlook or whatever Clinton Co newspapaer there might be? She died Tuesday, March 18, and was 95 yrs of age; the widow of Herman Clark. A scan would be marvelous, but I'll take a transcript. Anna was my husband's aunt. Thank you so much! Hello: I've just added some newly submitted pictures to the Wayne Co, KYGenWeb site. In the Photo Album we now have the Charles W. & Catherine (Bertram) Asberry Family also the Elza & Lotaine (Duvall) Asberry family. http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywayne/asberry.html We also have a new Unknown Ancestor photo submitted by Marilyn Smelser who wishes your assistance. It's thought that the family photo includes Luke Gregory b. 1890 d. 1929 who was married to Sarah E. Slagle. Luke was the son of Marjorie Gregory and James Harrison "Booger Jim" Gregory. I know Booger Jim has lots of descendants out there. Please have a look at the picture and see if you can help Marilyn identify these folks. http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywayne/gregory3.html Marilyn Gregory Fisher, CC Wayne County KYGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywayne/wayne.html Gregorys of Wayne Co, KY http://www.geocities.com/hoosierma/ _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam?
