Does anyone have access to old published histories of these counties that might provide me with any info on Native Americans who were living in these counties in the late 1700's-early 1800's? My ggggg grandfather Leonard BROWN (probably of Sumner Co., TN) married an Indian woman by the name of WATHA CAPA (probably pronounced WAYTHA CAPPA) sometime around 1800. She was supposedly of Cherokee ancestry, at least according to the Guion Miller application of James Alfred EAST, their grandson. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug Powers
