Listed as buried at Smith's Grove: Geo Newman b. about 1795, d. about 1843 wife Elizabeth Waugh Newman, b. Sept 18, 1800, d. Mar 18, 1884 Children are Alexander, Richard, Frances, James,et al Mary Catherine Wright Newman, listed as being married there. William Wright, b. JUne 29, 1794, d. Oct. 3, 1845 wife Mary Lair Wright, b. Mar 29, 1799, d. Aug 2, 1872,at Smith's Grove Children: Mary Catherine, Geo, Elizabeth, Mathias, Helen, James Fountain, William Whitman, Joseph Lair, Francis, Susan, Darilla. Where, geographically is Smith's Grove. If I were to locate it on a map. So, basically, I'm looking for the families above, especially any other WRIGHT or LAIR ancestors. The Newman's were from Orange Co., VA originally, I believe.
