I am looking for information on the Neal's and Hall's who moved from Warren county, KY to Illinois. I have Aaron Neal & Nancy Jordan, the parents of Polly Neal, who moved from TN, to Warren county, KY, then on to IL. Polly married William Hall in 1806 in Warren county, KY. I need more information on these Hall's. I have two conflicting stories on this William Hall. He is supposedly the Hall who died in an Indian Massacre in 1832 (Black Hawk Wars). Another version says that his wife was not a Polly Hall, but a Rachel (can't remember surname). Anyway, I need to verify this William and his family. As you can see, Hall is my married name. My husband researched his lines back to IL and found a totally different story from what I was given by a Jordan researcher.
