After finding out I recieved some false information from my Grandfather. I am starting my search over again. My grandfather is Thurman Watts ( the doctor added the "s" to his name on the Birth Certificate). His father was Columbus Watt, born in Glenmore, KY in 1865. He married Caroline Skaggs, then Clellar Rich. His father was Felix Washington Watt, born in 1830. He married a Surilda Parrish then Mary "Polly" Ann Milligan. I think. His father was John Watt, born 1782, in Bucks, PA. He married an Elizabeth Lowden (Louden). Columbus had 11 siblings Felix had 12 siblings. If anyone can help me on ANY of these names, please let me know. The information I have came from a cousin, but could not do a lot. Thanks, James A. Coen

Does anyone have access to old published histories of these counties that might provide me with any info on Native Americans who were living in these counties in the late 1700's-early 1800's? My ggggg grandfather Leonard BROWN (probably of Sumner Co., TN) married an Indian woman by the name of WATHA CAPA (probably pronounced WAYTHA CAPPA) sometime around 1800. She was supposedly of Cherokee ancestry, at least according to the Guion Miller application of James Alfred EAST, their grandson. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug Powers
