All: I have found reference online a January, 1843 marriage between George W. Girten and Mary Jane Thompson, daughter of Charles. I also saw that in 1851, Charles Henry Girten marries the widow Mary Jane Girten. I would like to ask if anyone back in Union County who may have researched this family already: Does anyone have the particular details from the wedding bond (such as who was listed in the bond, if someone wrote a permission letter or swore an oath as to Mary Jane's age, etc.? In other words, I'm looking for all the people mentioned or otherwise involved in this marriage: the names on the bond, etc.? If not, can someone go to the courthouse and look these details up? My husband and I met Mr. Heady many years ago in Morganfield.
