My aunt Gladys Ball Dein died the 15th of February at Jewish Hospital. She was in her ninety-second year and had been an invalid for many years. She was born on a farm in Trimble County and never forgot her family and friends there. She had two sons and two daughters. One son, Joseph Colbert Dein passed on several years ago at the age of 47. She was laid to rest beside him in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville. She was the last of four daughters of Nathaniel Stark Ball and Pearl Mae Colbert. Her three sisters; Beulah Ruth Ball Neher, Ruby Virginia Ball Baker-Decker, and Hazel Jewell Ball Mills, and two of her three brothers; Joseph Clark Ball and Herman Clifton Ball, had gone on before, leaving only one brother surviving of the seven siblings.
