    3. Hello Everyone, My great granduncle Brown Low Burke migrated from Floyd County, Kentucky to Milton bet. 1929-1950. He was born 4-8-1906 and died 2-16-1975 in Milton. He was married to (1) Lucy Auxier who was killed in a car accident in 1950, He then married (2) Hazel Ogden. I know that Brown Low and Lucy Auxier Burke had 2 children, Vernon who died in infancy and a daughter who married a Wright, they resided in Madison Ind. and Lucy was killed while on her way to visit them according to an obituary in the Paintsville Herald in 1950. I am looking for any and all information on this family line. Particularly the descendants of Brown Low Burke. I know from an Obit that I found online that Mr. & Mrs. Wright had a daughter, I would love to find her or her family. Brown Low's niece Eunice is alive and well and living in Floyd Co. She is the last of her siblings and I know she would love to know more about this missing branch in our family tree. He was a direct descendant of the historic pioneer Jenny Wiley and is listed in Volume 2 of the book on her family by Clayton Cox. I have been searching for him and his family for over 2 years now, so all information would be greatly appreciated. Brown Low Burke was buried in the Moffett Cemetery according to his obit. Can someone tell me where that is located? I would love to have a photo of his headstone. Thanks in advance to any and all replies, Lisa Burke Ratliff

    3. Hi Lisa, Moffett Cemetery is located in Milton just off Hwy 421 at the end of Moffett Road. The Cemetery over looks the Ohio River. The headstone transcription reads as follows: Burke Brownlow L. Lucy K. 1906 1907 1975 1950 In the Cemetery Book the following appears. Brownlow L. Burke (8 Apr) 1906 (16 Feb) 1975 Lucy K. Burke (16 Aug) 1907 (29 Sep) 1950 They are buried in section C, row 6. On the Trimble County website, there use to be a couple who had went around the county taking pictures of headstones. At one time they did offer to email scanned images upon request, I don't know if they are still doing it or not. You might ask Maggie Fallone, the owner of the website. She would know if they were still offering their service or not. If they aren't, I might see what I can do. My husband is the caretaker at Moffett, and I might be able to borrow my sister digital camera. Then I would be able to email you an attachment of the photo. Let me know. :-) Joy Mack ----- Original Message ----- From: "kycrossroads" <kycrossroads@foothills.net> To: <KYTRIMBL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2004 7:13 PM Subject: [KYTRIMBLE] Burke, Ogden, Auxier, Wright > Hello Everyone, > My great granduncle Brown Low Burke migrated from Floyd County, Kentucky to Milton bet. 1929-1950. 3. Joy, Oh My! This is absolutely wonderful! I can not thank you enough. I am in Lawrence County Kentucky, do you know how far we are from you? I am not familiar with the area at all because I lived in Florida most of my life. I did not that Lucy was also in the Moffett Cemetery so this is fantastic. Anyone know what became of Hazel Ogden? Is she in the same cemetery or somewhere else, perhaps with her first husband James McEndre? Thank you again, I will try and get with Maggie, is she a member of the list? If this couple doing photos are no longer available I would greatly appreciate any photos you or anyone else could get me and would gladly reimburse any costs involved in doing so. This has truly made my night.
