Hi Bill, Yes, from the 1850 and 1860 censuses, the children, including Isabella are living with mother, Mary. She was born in TN. This is how I know her first name. I believe VA is correct for the birth place of father, but, I have no idea what his name was besides Baker. I don't know what Mary's maiden name was or where she married Mr. Baker. It is hard to continue the female lineage when you do not know anything more than that. I am working on my husband's mtDNA and I have come to an abrupt halt at Isabella Baker who married Anthony J. Bartlett. That is not very far down the genealogical lines, so to speak. Isabella Baker, age 22, appears on page 390 of the 1850 Henry County Census in the household of Mary Baker, 54, a native of Tennessee, along with Jane, 24, Levi S., 24, and John H. Baker, 18. The 1880 Trimble County census for A. J. Bartlett's family confirms that Isabel's mother was born in Tennessee. The birthplace of Isabel's father is hard to read, but I believe it says Virginia.
