I am looking for verification that Joseph "Richard" ROBERTS was b. 2 Mar, 1885 in Trimble Co. KY. His marriage bond, dated 31 Mar 1909 in McLean Co., KY, to Bertha Mae HALL lists his birthplace as Trimble Co., KY. Joseph Richard's parents were Jasper ROBERTS, (b. 1845, prob. Harrison Co., KY) and Ann HEDRICKS (b. May 1856, Indiana). Jasper and Ann (m. 1870 Pendleton Co., KY) were listed in the 1870 Harrison Co., KY Census, the 1880 Pendleton Co., KY Census and the 1900 Spencer Co., IN Census. Jasper and Ann ROBERTS had 13 children born from 1872 to 1897: Albert Luther, George, Sylvester, Norah, James H., Joseph Richard, Hester, Clarence F., Maud Belle, Ferdinand, 3 unknown. Jasper and Ann migrated to Spencer Co., IN sometime between 1891-1893. Jasper's parents were George and Zipporah Jane (BAYLESS) ROBERTS (m. 1838, Harrison Co., KY). George ROBERTS was b. abt. 1811 prob. in SC. George and Z. Jane had 11 children born from 1841 to 1859: Sarah, Mary, Susan Jane, Jasper (+ Ann HEDRICKS). John, George, Abby, Angeline, Jackson, Margaret, and Sally. My g-grandfather was Richard Worth HEDRICKS. I believe Ann (HEDRICKS) ROBERTS was his sister and I am trying to find their parents ~ possibly James HEDRICKS and Jane SADLER. Richard married Lucy MAHONEY, 1879 in Trimble Co., KY. In 1880, they are living with Lucy's mother in Carroll Co., KY. They migrated to Spencer Co., IN somewhere between 1886-1889. If Joseph "Richard" ROBERTS was indeed born in Trimble Co., KY, it would place the family group of Jasper and Ann ROBERTS in Trimble Co., KY in the same time frame as Richard and Lucy HEDRICKS and that would be helpful to me in my research. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that could verify if Joseph "Richard" ROBERTS (or any of Jasper and Ann's children) was born in Trimble Co., KY. Thanks for any help. My mother was a Roberts, her parents, Leslie Clay Roberts and Betty Elizabeth Hundley had a son, Joseph, born May 1, 1913 and died Sept. 5, 1917. Obviously this is not the Joseph you are looking for. I do not have a Jasper Roberts.
