HI, I'm new to the list but no stranger to Trimble County. Although I was born in Madison, Indiana I still have a lot of relatives in Trimble County. In fact, from my research the McClure's have been in the county since the 1840s when William McClure brought his bride, Jane Randall to the area. My question: My grandfather, Charles Tolbert McClure, was married three times. His first wife, Addie Nichols, of Jefferson County Indiana, left my grandfather with a daughter after her death. We always called this daughter "Aunt Bessie" who married Hurley Brown and moved to Wabash, Indiana where they are both now deceased. I have not been able to fine the birth of anyone under the name of Bessie McClure. Do any of you list members have any information on this marriage and birth? Thanks for your help. Gordon L.
