I'm corresponding with someone interested in a Charles Cox who married a Minerva Adkins (or Evans) of February 18, 1843 in Trimble County. She says she wrote the courthouse and received a reply that Trimble was part of Gallatin at the time, which is clearly wrong. Charles and Minerva Cox had at least two children before Minerva married a Joseph Amphlett in 1851, so she would like to know who this Charles Cox was, and if he died or if they were divorced. My information was that he was the same as the Charles H. Cox who married Jane Furnish in Carroll County, but it looks like they are not the same Charles Cox. Can anyone shed any light on this?
