Hi all - I have recently been corresponding with Colleen Wilkes who has an interest in Jesse Connell descendants, in particular, William Connell, Jesse's son. I am posting here her recent letter to me: I am looking for the death date for William Connell, born 1776, son of Jesse Connell, born 1747, and Nancy Ann Lawson, born 1753. My problem is that I find a William Connell, born 1796, who married Polly Smith, and is shown to be a son of Jesse Connell and Nancy Ann Lawson. I am confused. Could William 1776 have died and a later child be named William also?
