JANE CONNELL --(Recorded on DAR Report ONLY) g.. NANCY CONNELL (DAR said she married a Nicholson. October 09, 1823 Gallatin Co., KY to Jesse Coleman (Marriage date in KY Marriages, Bk4, Pg. 15) d. September 23, 1826 Gallatin Co., KY References: The references I'm quoting from are two DAR reports. One was dated Sept. 18, 1914 for Mrs. Carrie Calloway Crozier, Madison, Jefferson Co., IN The second DAR report is dated Jan. 3, 1916 for a Mrs. Mina Gray McGown Wright, from Fort Worth, TX. It shows her deceased on 9/21/1921. Both of these women descend from Jesse Connal and Nancy Lawson, by their daughter, Catherine Connal Gray (1786-1864) m. Jesse Gray, 1809. It shows that Jesse Connal was born in South Carolina in 1747 and died in Trimble (Gallatin Co) (Trimble was formed in 1837) Jesse Connel, SR. saw service in the Revolutionary War as Private in Roebuck's Regiment, South Carolina. He died 15 August, 1826 in Trimble Co, KY. His tombstone states that he was 97 years old, and is laid to rest in the Corn Creek Cemetery of the Corn Creek Baptist Church. His wife was Nancy Lawson who died 13 May, 1827, age 74, and is buried beside him. THE END
> James Duncan; b. May 16, 1780, m. 1st, Lucy Pryor; after her death m. 2nd > Catherine Pryor, both dau. of Samuel Pryor. James d. 1814, and Catherine m. Wyatt Coleman. Please tell me if you think my reading of this is correct. The above information appears to show the Catherine ? who married Wyatt Coleman. I believe she is the second wife of the Wyatt Coleman who married Cynthia Connell. Cynthia died in 1826 and I have children, Franklin, Larkin and Benoni, born of Wyatt and Catherine after the death of Cynthia in 1826. The son Franklin is my connection to this family as he married Virginia 'Jennie' Mayfield. Nancy Green
