    3. In my family line I show a Oti McClure, married to a George T. Pryor. d. Mount Pleasant April 3, 1935, buried IOOF cemetery, Bedford, KY. He came from Campbell, Kentucky. He was survived by sisters R. L. Connor, and three brothers, Millard, Richard, and Charles Pryor. This isn't much, but maybe you can do some backtracking from this line.

    3. Hi Susan and Jeff: I'm sure I can't help you, since you are bringing up Pryor names that I've not heard of before. But would like to know if you have names of Captain Jack Pryor and Sallie Duncan's children. I would very much appreciate getting info on them. I'm quite sure that Samuel Pryor and wife, Martha were in Culpeper Co., VA with my James and Asenith Browning Duncan when they moved first to Bourbon Co., KY ca 1797, then on to Gallatin Co. KY not long after 1800. Captain Jack Pryor married Sallie Duncan in ca 1805 in either Henry Co. or Gallatin Co. KY. Also James, son of James and Asenith Duncan above married two daughters of Samuel Duncan, ca 1760 - 1814.?? 1st. Lucy and 2nd, Catherine. Then James, their husband died about 1814 too. I believe all of this happened at least one generation ahead of your research. I'm also looking for the family of Ann Duncan that married Willis Jackson. She was a sister to Sallie that married Captain Jack Pryor. I don't know where they went from Trimble Co., KY, or the names of their children. I also connect on the Connell line. Jesse Connell, a Revolutionary Soldier and his wife, Nancy Lawson had about eleven children, and one of them was Mary (Polly) Connell. She married my William Duncan, who was a brother to Ann and Sallie Duncan. Jesse and Nancy only had three sons, 1. William 1770-1825, m. Mary "Polly" Smith in Gallatin Co. KY MRG, Bk 2, Pg. 28) Bur: Corn Creek Cem. Trimble Co. KY 2. Jesse Connell, Jr. March 11, 1780 SC, m. Elizabeth "Betsy" Gray, dau. of Presley Gray & Barbara, Feb. 9, 1802, Gallatin Co. KY. He d. October 25, 1854. 3. Frank Connell (DAR Report states he never married. I've not found any records on him, other than the DAR Report). The daughters were Mary (Polly) Connell, 1785- 1827 m. William Duncan. Charlotte "Lottie" Connell Oct. 5, 1788 SC and d. May, 1862, Trimble Co., m. John Nicholson. Cynthia Connell, 1791 - Feb. 05, 1826 Gallatin Co., KY, m. Wyatt Coleman Mar. 15, 1816, Gallatin Co., KY and died in 1826 in Gallatin Co., KY Elizabeth Connell, b. June 11, 1776 SC, m. Apr. 20, 1797 Shelby Co., KY to Daniel Coleman. No Death info. Sarah "Sallie" Connell, NOT sure if this was their daughter. Her mother would have been 50 years old at the time of her birth. b. ca 1803 and m. October 09, 1823 Gallatin Co., KY to Jesse Coleman. She d. September 23, 1826. Catherine Connell, b. 1786 SC, m. 1809 Gallatin Co., KY to Jesse Gray, son of Henderson Gray and Mary Hall Gray. She died 1864. A Jane Connell was Recorded on DAR Report ONLY. Nancy Connell - DAR Report said she m. a Nicholson..no other info. The DAR Report listed ten children. One not named was Sarah "Sallie" Connell and she would have been born when Nancy Lawson was 50 yrs old. Is she a daughter of Jessee and Nancy, or maybe a granddaughter. There was apparently another Connell family living in Shelby Co., KY as there were three marriages of Connell's that I don't believe belong to Jesse and Nancy Connell. I hope that some of this will be helpful to someone. 3. Hi Jeff, Boy did I make a mistake. My eyes wandered down to the bottom of the page in FTM and I copied some information wrong. I will try again. I am trying to find out who William M. Pryor of Trimble County, KY was. My husband's grandmother, Adeline English Pryor Morgan, wrote a letter to the Dept. of the Army in Washington, DC concerning the records of William M. Pryor. I have no records of him. I also show no siblings of Adeline. Adeline was the daughter of Samuel P. Pryor and Elizabeth Samuel Bartlett. Elizabeth was aka Gammie or Sammie. Samuel was a child of George Woodford Pryor and Mary Connell. Their child William Connell Pryor is the only William I have in my data base that could have fought in the Civil War. I am wondering if maybe William M. was a first or second cousin or an Uncle. He is a complete mystery. Why would Adeline be so interested in him if he was not a relative of hers? It does not make any sense. The letter M. for his middle initial was underlined by the Dept. of Army so I am not confused as to the middle initial. Also, the letter was typed, not hand-written. If there are any takers out there that can help with this, I would be happy. I was correct with the parents of George Woodford Pryor. They were John "Jack" Pryor and Sally Duncan. 3. Hi List, I am trying to find out who William M. Pryor is. I found a letter from my husband's grandmother, Adeline E. Pryor Morgan, when she wrote to the Dept. of the Army concerning William and his Civil War information. William served with the Kentucky Cavalry, Confederate States. Adeline was born in 1883, the daughter of George Woodford Pryor and Sammie Bartlett. I have checked all the siblings for George and the only William I could find was William Connell Pryor. Connell was William and George's mother's maiden name. George Woodford parents were John "Jack" Pryor and Sally Duncan. If anyone can clue me in as to who William M. Pryor was and his parents, I would love to hear from you. I cannot think of why Adeline was writing about him unless he was an Uncle or some other close relative. Thanks is advance. 3. Gordon, I am not in the McClure family but have many with connections with my Perkinson and Barnes families.. On Trimble Co. school census (which is not always correct,) Charles Tolbert and Addie had a daughter born 28 Mar 1903 who married Hurley Lester Brown 31 Dec 1922 in Trimble Co. They also had another daughter, Alma Lou born last of Dec 1904 and died 34 Feb 1905 age 2 months. I don't have a death date for Bessie Brown. I am sorry I have Charles Taylor instead of Charles Tolbert in the obituaries and Cemetery Book. I am hot sure if the mistake was in his obituary or not.
