    3. I want to say, a very big thank you To Maggie Fallone! This website, thanks to Maggie (our Host), and all of you who have contributed files one way or another, have made it one of the best county web informational sites availiable on Rootsweb. It amazes me, when I try another county, that I can't find half as much information as I can on the Trimble County Web page. You all have made this site one of the best!!! For one who has had my family in Trimble for a century, I want Maggie, Marguerite, Joy, and all who have added their family history, data, and those that have helped in transcribing, proofreading, typing, and just adding their information to realize how much you've grown this site! Its awsome!!! KEEP IT UP :>) _________________________________________________________________ Expand your wine savvy — and get some great new recipes — at MSN Wine. http://wine.msn.com

    3. Hi Bill and Lois, I have a copy of the Carroll County Marriage Index and found where J. R. Campbell married Leonia Jackson. I also found in the Trimble County Heritage 1989 book published by the Trimble County Historical Society on page 142, Trimble Tidbit, that on November 9, 1891 a J. R. Campbell was elected constable. But I'm wondering if the J. R. Campbell you are researching is getting confused with a James R. Campbell. James R. Campbell is the only J. R. Campbell I can find in any other records for Trimble County. He appears in the 1900 Census with a wife named Annie K. and these children: Myra A., Thelma E. and Georgia A. (all daughters) The other thing is this J. R. Campbell was born in Oct of 1870. This James R. Campbell also appears in the 1880 census at age 9 with his widowed mother Nannie with brothers, Leatcher and John. If the James R. Campbell was elected constable in 1891, he would have been 20 or 21 years of age. Do you have any other documentation that shows your J. R. Campbell lived in Trimble County? I know Carroll County had quite a few Campbells listed in the Marriage index. Trimble County had few, only a couple or three households only. Wish I could have helped more. Maybe someone on the Carroll County Website could help.
