Here is some early STRAWBRIDGE information that I've found: I know nothing beyond what is posted here but thought it might be helpful in eventually unraveling where the Strawbridge name came from in this area. I also have a note at the bottom of this post. In some of the histories of the area of Flat Lick, Trigg Co., KY and Stewart Co., TN its been stated that the Wester and Pitt families migrated together into the area from NC. Shortly thereafter, Thomas Joyner/Joiner and his wife Patience Wester migrated to the Trigg County area. There is also a group of Joiner/Joyner's in Pitt Co., NC that I'm hoping to research soon. The Joiner's married into the Taylor family through Mary Polly Taylor like we have been discussing. Now assuming that Mary Polly Taylor was related to the John Taylor/Mary Strawbridge line....well, long way around it looks as least as likely as anything else that I've run across thus far. Any comments/suggestions? Kathy in FL [email protected]
