Hello List, Can anyone tell me if Empire , Ky is in Trigg co., and if it still exist? My great grandmother was born in Empire Ky. in 1885, Her parents were Lorenzo Dow Ferguson and Mary Ann (Webb) Ferguson. He was employed, at that time, I believe, on a steamboat. I am wondering why he would have moved his family from Tn. to Empire Ky. at this particular time frame. Is the steamboat business, something that would have brought him to this area? C.J. Williams
