I joined the Trigg County list a few months ago. For some time I have been researching the Adams family of Livingston and there more than just a few dots to connect. My biggest is what happened to ZACHARIAH SHAW. According to the 1850 Trigg census report, he was born in VA about 1807. I have been able to find him only in the 1850 US Census for Trigg County. His occupation is show as SB (S teamBoat ?) Pilot. He is shown with a number of his known (from other censuses) children and his wife, Sarah (who I have identified as a Kennedy from Stewart Co., TN). Sarah and family later moved to Livingston County and never returned to TN. Sarah died maybe in McCracken Co.. Their children were born in IL, TN, and KY. Zachariah and Sarah's last child was born in TN in 1855. After that nothing more of Zachariah. He might have received a Trigg land grant in the early 1840s. And family legend is that he died in New Orleans of yellow fever. And it is likely his burial place was in LA. Several of Zachariah's sons were also pilots. Any help would be appreciated. Happy new year. Jim Stewart
