    1. [KYTRIGG] Futrells who collect more Futrells only, please
    2. jan
    3. I am going to be out of pocket a bit, but decided to give you Futrells something to chew on while I am gone. You have a Futrell who needs some kinfolk. Her name is Levicey Futrell, born 1825. She is in your material, and another with the same birthdate is in mine. The odd thing is, I believe I found her....but I need a little more evidence. Right on the Bible page with Isaac Futrell and Levicey his wife, married April 21, 1824, there is Levicey Futrell born October 1825. Now if anyone knows WHO that Levicey Futrell on that page, born 1825 was, I am most interested...if anyone knows what became of her I am most interested, or if anyone has ever been interested enough to find out more about her I am most interested. I figure there is enough of you out there digging into Futrells, that SOMEONE has surely wondered what became of that Levicey and if they just forgot to write "child of" in front of her name and figured it was self-explanatory, or she was a child they were ashamed of and only wrote her name in the Bible on the page with them because they were "Christian". If anyone can PROVE my Levicey is someone else, or THIS Levicey did not live and reproduce, I am most interested. If anyone can prove THIS Levicey is MY Levicey I am interested...and then the Futrell family will have a mystery solved. Which I presume is what we are all interested in doing. <vbg> But it is quite odd I have a dangling Levicey Futrell, born 1825, who in all this well documented Futrell info, no one claims or knows what happened to, and yall have a dangling Levicey Futrell, born 1825 no one can tell me what happened to. Here is one idea why. She did indeed live, next county over, and she did indeed reproduce. She married David Hendon in 1849. She was a widow living with Rebecca Parker (yup, for those of you with Futrell knowledge, one of your own) in 1850. She married Thomas W. Dennis in 1854. Which is how I happened to turn up with a dangling Futrell and a Futrell descendent when I was not supposed to. Right now the only "proof" I have that she is not this Levicey with the right name and birthdate is that a son of Isaac (Isaac is buried in Stewart Co., same county Levicey lived) supposedly wrote a letter many yea long years after the fact and did not mention her, or that is what I hear. Don't know if that is proof any more than my "proof" ....maybe her brother didn't like her. <vbg> I have kinfolks I don't mention too, and likely to have a few more. <vbg> Anyhow, there is something for yall who really like to get to the bottom of Futrell mysteries and pad your FTM's with them to chew on. If anyone ever turns up the right "acceptable" clues, I will buy them a steak dinner and fill their FTM's with DOCUMENTED Futrell descendents of Levicey, my gg granny. Anyhow, I will keep plugging. <vbg> Levicey wants a home. thanks, jan John 3:16 Future Resident, artist, scribe-in-residence, general troublemaker of the Old Genealogists Home, best kept secret in America Listowner: [email protected] [email protected] Listowner: [email protected]
