Dear Tim, Thank you for posting the Political Graveyard link. I was able to get some verification of information I have been seeking for several years now about some early NC-TN kin. The object of my search was one Samuel Hogg, alleged to have been a member of Congress from early Tennessee and also a physician who served with Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans. Because there were other links in the Political Graveyard to his biography in the Directory of Congress (or whatever its official name is) I have more information. His wife (first?), according to a transcribed (and therefore untrustworthy) Bible record was Sallie (Sarah) Williams of Granville Co., NC and therefore a distant relative of mine. Now all I have to do is check up on Sallie who is allegedly buried in Lebanon, TN ca 1820. Need to check that out. Thanks for the information. E.W.Wallace
