My gg-grandmother Catherine Wilb*rn was a much married lady. I keep hoping to run into a fellow descendant, but so far, no luck. Having recently found two new children and a possible brother, I thought I'd post again. Catherine Wilb*rn was born about 1826, probably in Indiana (possibly Perry County). She was a daughter of Isaac G. Wilb*rn (b. c. 1792 in North Carolina) and Sarah (--?--), (b. c. 1797 in NC). There may be two older sisters - no names so far. There are two known younger brothers, John (c. 1831) and William (c. 1833). The possible brother is Isaac Y. Wilb*rn, no dates yet. On 11 May 1848 Catherine married Jonas B. MEADOWS in Obion Co, TN. He died in Jan 1850. There were two sons of this marriage: 1) Joseph Wilburn MEADOWS, b. 24 Feb 1849 in Obion Co, TN 2) Jonas MEADOWS, b. Aug 1850 in Obion Co, TN On 17 Nov 1852 Catherine married Greenwood (or Green W.) PARKER in Obion Co., TN. He died in the first half of 1860. There were (at least) two sons of this marriage also: 3) Isaac Q (or Y) PARKER, b about 1854 in (Obion Co) Tennessee 4) John PARKER, b. about 1859 in (Obion Co) Tennessee On 9 Nov 1863 Catherine married Nathan T. OLIVER in Trigg Co, KY. I don't have a death record for him. There were two children of this marriage: 5) Sarah E. OLIVER, b about 1866 in (Trigg Co) Kentucky 6) Andrew T. OLIVER, b about 1868 in (Trigg Co) Kentucky In the 1850 census Catherine with sons Joseph W. and Jonas are enumerated with her father in District 4, Obion Co, TN I haven't found her in the 1860 census yet. In the 1870 census of Bethesda Precinct, Trigg Co, KY, the Nathan OLIVER household includes Catherine, Isaac Q PARKER, John PARKER, Sarah E. OLIVER, and Andrew T. OLIVER. Joseph W. MEADOWS is a few lines up the same page with his first wife, Margaret Jane OLIVER. I haven't found Jonas MEADOWS yet. In the 1880 census of Bethesda District #2, Trigg Co, KY, the Nathan OLIVER houshold includes Catherine, Sarah E., and Andrew T. Joseph W. MEADOWS and second wife Belle HARRELL are in Bethesda District #3, Trigg Co., KY. I haven't found Jonas MEADOWS, Isaac Q. PARKER, or John PARKER yet. No 1890 census... I don't have access to an index for 1900... Among the variant spellings I've found all the usual Wilb*rn suspects, Melb*rn, and Hilb*rn, all with and without a final "e".
