    3. Excerpt from the Evansville Courier & Press January 31, 2004 Burial Records Oak Hill Cemetery & Locust Hill Cemetery burial records "Go Online". (These are Evansville City cemeteries only. Other private owned cemeteries are not in this database).... Slightly more than 30,000 of the 67,000 Oak Hill burial records are on-line.. People with last names A through F and T through Z are in the database. The others are being added as time pernits. Locust Hill has 5,000 of their 27,000 records on line. Burial records from before 1905 were destroyed in a fire. The information is being entered from index cards kept at the cemeteries. Oak Hill opened in 1853 and Locust Hill opened about the same time..
