Henry Jabe Joiner was born 21 Nov 1897 and died 13 Jan 1966. He is buried in Flat Lick Cemetery in Christian County, KY. His parents were Thomas Hall Joiner and Sarah Elizabeth Weaver. He married Ruby Mathis who was born on 1 Jul 1903. [Note: who are Ruby's parents?] Henry and Ruby had the following children: 1. Walton M. Joiner m. Mary Lee Vier (daughter of Major Vier and Willie Lee Ezell) 2. Francis Joiner m. Billy Moore 3. Betty Lou Joiner m. unknown (had three children by the name of Samuel, Ronnie, & Lawrence Earl) 4. Henry Garner Joiner (b. 2 Nov 1922 in Hopkinsville, KY) m. Helen Nevylene Haskins (daughter of James Willis Haskins and Hollie May Hayes) 5. Jean Joiner [twin] m. Richard Mull 6. Joyce Joiner [twin] 7. Cecil Ray Joiner m. Mary Frances Hampton (daughter of Harlon Hampton and Flora Johnson). NOTE: there was a store directly across from the Jefferson Davis Monument that we all called "Mr. Hampton's". Not sure how/if he relates to the Harlon Hampton family. Store was still in business in early 1970's but was then sold and has now been torn down and replaced with a quick mart. Used to be able to go in there and he had his candy set up like the old penny candy displays....behind glass and he would bag it for you in tiny little paper sacks.
