On 26 Dec 1916 he married Mary Archie St. John (b. 8 Aug 1896) who was the daughter of Archie Mathew St. John and Artralious Walker. Children: 1. Archie Boyd Joiner (1918 - 1922, buried Flat Lick Cemetery in Christian Co., KY) 2. Frances Artralious Joiner (b. 1920 in Montgomery Co., TN) m. Raymond L.
