This will take place on Sat., Aug. 9, 2003 at 12 noon at the North Welcome Station in Land Between the Lakes. Smith is buried in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery there and a brief ceremony will also be held at the cemetery. A reception will follow at the Senion Citizen Bld. in Grand Rivers, Ky. Miranda Barnett, (family from Between the Rivers) will sing the national anthem. Lots of officials and his family will be in attendance.
